Housing Opportunities

Need Housing Assistance?

The Panhandle Assistance & Support Organization, Inc. (PASO) is dedicated to serving persons living with HIV/AIDS by providing comprehensive housing assistance and supportive services through the HOPWA program.

Ensuring that individuals and families have access to safe, stable, and affordable housing solutions is at the heart of our mission.

Our HOPWA Services (Subject to Available Funding):

  • Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA): TBRA facilitates rental subsidies, enabling eligible individuals to find and lease housing in the private market that meets safety and affordability standards.

  • Short-Term Rent, Mortgage, and Utility Assistance (STRMU): The STRMU program offers temporary relief for costs related to rent, mortgage payments, and utilities for those facing financial hardships.

  • Permanent Housing Placement (PHP): PHP plays a pivotal role in assisting individuals and families in securing permanent housing by covering essential costs such as security deposits, initial rent, and utility setup fees.

While we are committed to providing these services, it’s essential to note that their availability and scope are contingent upon the funding we secure.
